I spent a lot of time to do my investigations, but now I can write something very interesting. At the end of the year a lot of indexes were made to explain the condition, all over the world, of the gender gap and the freedom of the press.
It’s very awful discover that Italy in the gender gap index is 72nd, above it you can find Venezuela, Honduras, El Salvador, Israel, Philippines, Sri Lanka and, above all, the State that no one want to will be less, CUBA. Positions immediately below are occupied by Malawi, Gambia and Ghana.
Freedom of press index is not better. Italy takes 49th position above it we have Ciprus, Jamaica, Mali and Macedonia, position below Lebanon and Burkina Faso.
It’s awful to think that Italy, which is known, thanks to our Premier, as the home of hope in which economical crisis doesn’t exist and gender gap is faced by the Minister of Showgirls, is below Honduras, in which, this year, exploded a terrible golpe.
Because of its position, press in Italy is considered partially free. Now I understand why all the world is laughing at our condition. None of our journalists is able to restore truth, at the other side a lot of our journalists don’t want to say the truth.
