Quando il silenzio è ignoranza

Chi non muore si rivede. Danny Ayalon, vice Ministro degli esteri israeliano, non è nuovo a realizzare figure ignobili con i rappresentanti di altri stati. Dopo aver insultato l’ambasciatore turco pubblicamente, davanti a TV locali e giornalisti, mettendolo in una posizione d’imbarazzo davanti alla stampa mondiale, ieri se l’è presa con una delegazione americana, fatto ancora più scandaloso, per il mondo occidentale, perché l’America è sempre stato il primo amico d’Israele. Il problema era che la delegazione faceva parte dell’associazione noprofit J Street; sapete perché Ayalon non ha voluto parlare con loro e ha rifiutato ogni possibile incontro? Ecco cosa si legge sul loro sito come presentazione del loro lavoro:

J Street was founded to change the dynamics of American politics and policy on Israel and the Middle East. We believe the security and future of Israel as the democratic home of the Jewish people depend on rapidly achieving a two-state solution and regional comprehensive peace. Our mission is to promote meaningful American leadership to achieve peace and security in the Middle East and to broaden the debate on these issues nationally and in the Jewish community. J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and its desire for security as the Jewish homeland, as well as the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own - two states living side-by-side in peace and security. We believe ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is in the best interests of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians, and the region as a whole.

Direi che per la mente di Ayalon niente poteva essere peggio che questi propositi, come si può pretendere che il suo raziocinio possa accettare l’idea di due stati in piena sicurezza per Israele e Palestina? Piuttosto la sicurezza deve essere per Israele, il resto non conta nulla.
